This is a part time seasonal position requiring weekend / holiday work, starting in December and continuing through early April. This position does require some travel in CA. Applicants should have prior coaching and/or racing experience. Sugar Bowl Athletic Site Manager: Job Duties - Athletic Site Manager, Sugar Bowl Ski Team Foundation(SBSTF)
Coordinates training space requirements (terrain, surface perparation, etc.), safety, scheduling, and closure with head coaches, SBC, and other venue management. Manages all training equipment.

-Responsible for working with Head Alpine Coaches to ensure the best possible training opportunities.
-Maintain snow surfaces in training and race areas according to the needs of coaches at each program level. Interact with SBC personnel and race director to coordinate the snow-making, grooming and watering needs associated with snow perparation appropriate to elite-level ski racing and competition. Ensure plans are implemented to ensure greatest flexibility and speed in maintaining sites after storm cycle, etc.
-Coordinate volunteer needs through SBC Race Director and volunteer coordinators for USSA and FIS events at Sugar Bowl.
-Manage equipment inventory for all teams, including coordination of repari, maintenance and replacement.
-Ensure the utmost on-hill safety for those training and racing using our facilities. Adhere to current standards for fencing of on-hill obstacles for each discipline.
-Coordinate scheduling of lanes in race arena and other training sites.
-This position is supervised by Director of Athletics.

Sugar Bowl Ski Team Foundation Director of Finance and Business Operations:The successful candidate will become a key member of the Sugar Bowl Academy Foundation executive team. The Director of Finance and Business Operations will oversee all strategic and tactical aspects of the Ski Team and Academy Finances, front office and back office operations. The position reports to The Foundation Executive Director and will work closely with The Academy Head of School, the coaching staff and The Development Manager to plan and execute the short and long term objectives of The Foundation, Academy and Ski Team.  Resumes to bhudson@sbst.org

ASC is currently seeking to fill several coaching positions for the 2011-12 season. J5/J4 Coach, Bear Valley Race Team

Bear Valley is currently accepting applications for a J5/J4 coach reporting to the
J5/J4 head coach. This is a part time seasonal position requiring weekend / holiday work, starting in December and continuing through early April. This position requires 4-5 weekends of travel in CA. Applicants should have prior coaching or racing experi- ence through the J1 level, enthusiasm to develop young athletes and excellent verbal communication skills and the desire to motivate others.

J2-J5 Head Coach, Bear Valley Race Team Bear Valley is currently accepting resumes for a Race Team Head Coach. This is a part time, seasonal position, working 4 days per week, starting in December and continu- ing through late April. This position requires 5-8 weekends of travel in California. Applicants should be level 2 USSA and/or level 3 PSIA with race background and 2-3 years previous supervisor / managerial experience. F.I.S. Coach, Mt. Hood AcademyMt. Hood Academy is currently seeking applicants for a position coaching FIS-level athletes. Applicants should have strong prior coaching and/or racing experience. The program seeks coaches who are enthusiastic, good collaborators, and have an expectation that athletes will give their best. Mentorship is available for less experienced coaches; leadership opportunities exist for more-experienced coaches.  This coach will work with an enthusiastic group of talented athletes in an Academy setting. Athletes have considerable training and travel flexibility. Multiple opportunities exist for the coach in this position to be a member of the Divisional or Regional coaching staff for a variety of events.   Mt. Hood offers the opportunity to coach winter, spring, and summer. This long-standing program has helped multiple coaches to move into U.S. Ski Team coaching positions. Salary will be negotiated depending on experience and desired length of employment.
