Performance Fund Drive

Please support Far West Skiing in the support of its Junior Alpine Ski Racing Program.

Dear Parents of Far West Athletes, We are proud to begin the third annual Far West Performance Fund Drive. Last year we raised over $6000 that we were able to distribute to our Far West Athletes in the form of scholarships and development programs. This year we would like to double that as we have an even more ambitious goal of 100% participation. The giving is the important part and all donations are appreciated. 100% of your donation will be used for the benefit of our Far West Athletes.

Far West is a 501,(c),(3) Nonprofit Corporation and your donations are tax deductible. We represent approximately 1000 competing athletes ranging in age from 8 to 22 years old from over 700 families.

Far West is a very successful division of the United States Ski and Snowboard Association that is responsible for the organization and administration of youth Alpine Ski Racing at all levels in California and Nevada. The objective of Far West is to place elite Alpine competitors onto the U.S. Ski Team as well as NCAA and USCSA college ski racing teams. Please, visit our website at www.fwskiing.org to learn more.

Far West Athletes are successful at all levels of competition. You can find them on the World Cup as members of the U.S. Ski Team, and on the US Alpine Development Team. Alpine juniors represent Far West Skiing at US Nationals, J2 Nationals, and J3 Western Region Junior Championships. They are champions at all levels of competition.

I don’t need to remind you how expensive ski racing is. You know. This is the purpose of the Performance Fund Drive. Please, donate what you can and help Far West Athletes continue to be Champions. Please, complete the form on the second page and return  it with your check or cash in the enclosed self-addressed, postage-paid envelope that is provided. Drop it in the mailbox and you have participated in the coolest sport there is. Thank you very much and feel free to call me with any questions you might have (707-480-1507).  Sincerely,

Paul Abbott
